Join us at HackSavvy, exclusively hosted by the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology, for a premier national-level 24-hour hackathon dedicated to students passionate about advancing the frontiers of innovation. Immerse yourself in the realm of technology, exploring a wide range of themes including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning, Blockchain Technology, Drone Technology, Robotics, and Sustainable Infrastructure. This national event provides a unique platform for students from across the country to engage in deep collaboration, guided by industry experts, to turn innovative ideas into practical solutions.

Guidelines for The Event
Team Formation:
Each team should consist of 2-5 members.We encourage collaboration and diversity in skill sets for a well-rounded team.
Registration Fee:
A non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500 per team is required for regill be provided upon registration.
Eligibility:
This event is open to all college students.A valid college ID and a government-issued ID are mandatory for verification at the event.
Project Development:
All development work must be done during the hackathon hours.Pre-existing projects or cases of plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
Equipment:
Participants are required to bring their laptops, chargers, and any necessary hardware.Internet access will be provided at the venue.
Submission:
Teams must submit their project by the end of the hackathon period for evaluation.
Judging Criteria:
Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, technical difficulty, impact, and presentation. To know more about the judging criteria, visit the Judging Criteria section.
Awards and Recognition:
Certificates will be awarded to all participants.Special prizes will be given to top-performing teams.
Food and Refreshments:
Meals (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be provided to keep participants energized.Snacks and beverages, including tea and coffee, will also be available.
Before You Begin:
Please ensure you have the following ready for a smooth registration process: names, email addresses, college IDs, etc.
Proof of payment for the registration fee (Rs. 2500 per team).

Hacking Starts! 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Participants start coding, bringing their innovative ideas to life.
1st Checkpoint 11:00 AM - 01:30 PM
Teams present their progress and receive valuable feedback from mentors.
Lunch 01:30 PM - 02:00 PM
A well-deserved break where participants can recharge in batches until 2 PM.
2nd Checkpoint 03:00 PM - 05:00 PM
Teams showcase their advancements and tackle any challenges with mentor guidance.
Snacks 05:00 PM - 07:30 PM
A quick refreshment break to boost energy levels for continued coding.
Dinner 07:30 PM - 09:30 PM
Another opportunity for participants to enjoy a meal in batches until 9:30 PM.

Initial presentations where teams preview their projects to judges for early feedback.

A leisurely break from coding with engaging activities to relax and have fun.

Coffee, tea, and biscuits served to help maintain focus during the late-night coding sprint.

A crucial time for teams to finalize their projects and prepare for the final presentation.

Energizing breakfast served to fuel participants for the final push of the hackathon.
Final Round 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Teams present their completed projects to judges and peers, showcasing their hard work and innovation.

Who can participate?
This event is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate college students. A valid college ID and a government-issued ID are mandatory for verification at the event.
When will the applications close?
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis due to limited seats. Registration will close once we reach our capacity (the registration form will become unresponsive).
How does the application process work?

How much does it cost?
The participation fee is Rs 2500 per team.
Can we apply as a team?
Yes, teams can have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 members. You are also welcome to form teams with students from other colleges. Note: If two teams with the same problem statement receive equal marks, priority will be given to the team with fewer members.
What if I don't have a team or an idea?
For guidance on forming a team or generating ideas, please refer to our guidelines.
Do you provide accommodation for participants?
Yes, we provide limited accommodation on a first-come, first-served basis, prioritizing those who email us first. Accommodation includes food, snacks, tea/coffee, and a nap area.
Can I change my theme after registration?
Yes, but you need to send an email to hacksavvy@mgit.ac.in before registration closes.
Can you provide travel assistance (TA) for students?
No, we do not provide travel assistance.
